Christopher J. Bruce, PhD

Christopher Bruce is a Professor Emeritus from the Department of Economics at the University of Calgary. His teaching responsibilities included microeconomic theory, labour economics, economics of collective bargaining, and economic analysis of law. He has a B.A. from the University of Victoria, an M.A. from Carleton University, and a Ph.D. from Cambridge University. Dr. Bruce has written five books (two of which have gone to multiple editions) and published over three dozen articles in academic books and journals. He is also the founder and president of Economica Ltd., where he has prepared, or supervised the preparation of, over 5,000 economic reports concerning loss of earnings capacity, costs of care, and loss of dependency. Dr. Bruce has been accepted as an expert witness in more than 80 actions before the courts of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
